Audi is planning to recall around 70,000 vehicles worldwide due to issues related to brake booster.

The affected vehicles include 3.0 liter TDI turbo diesel engine variants of Audi A4, A5, A5 Cabrio, A6 and Q7 that were manufactured between March and December 2012.

In the affected vehicles, oil could enter through the vacuum lines and damage the brake servo, which could lead to the failure of the break enhancing booster.

If the problem persists, the stopping distance could increase, which could pose threat to the passengers and road users. according to AFP.

The company has not revealed whether the problem has caused any damage to the passengers yet.

Reportedly the issue with brake booster can be fixed quickly, and the car maker is expected to notify its dealers to fix the issue for free.
