Ecozi has successfully installed a rainwater harvesting system at the Honda dealership in Manchester, UK.
mcs was appointed as design and build contractor for the new building which required a rainwater harvesting system to meet the employer’s requirements. Ecozi was appointed to supply and install the rainwater harvesting system in order to reduce mains-water consumption for the daily on-site valeting.
Ecozi shipped a 30,000L tank with external filter to site early in the project and then installed pumps controls, mains-water backup and fine particle filtration.
The rainwater harvesting system installed has multiple bib taps throughout the building and the external forecourt area.
The 1,500m² roof area can yield up to 850,000L rainwater per year saving up to £1,700 per annum in reduced mains-water charges.
